January 2023 bank holidays have been released by the RBI. All public and private sector banks will be closed 15 days in January 2023, per the RBI. Second, fourth, and Sundays are holidays.
Some bank holidays are state-specific, but national holidays close banks nationwide. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) categorizes holidays as Negotiable Instruments Act, Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement, and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.
First and third Saturdays are bank holidays.
Online and net banking will be available while banks are closed. Customers should organize their bank visits.
January 2023 Bank Holidays:
1 January 2023: Sunday (Because it’s New Year’s Day on January 1, banks will be closed.)
