Important! Banks will be closed for 5 days in the second half of January 2022.

As of January 2022, all private and government banks will be closed for a total of five days in the second half of the month. We think that if you have any important work to do for the bank, you should do it while taking into account these holidays.

RBI rules say that the public sector, private sector, foreign banks, cooperative banks, and regional banks in India will be closed on the dates they say they will be closed. This is what the Reserve Bank of India did: It set aside days for lenders to be paid. These are called “Negotiable Instruments Act Holiday,” “Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday,” and “Bank Closing of Account.”

For each state, bank closures are different, but across the country, there are a few days when all of the banks are closed: January 26, August 15, October 2, and December 25.

You can see all the bank holidays in your city for the rest of January 2022, based on the list from the RBI (January 18 onwards)
