According to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) holiday schedule, Indian banks will be closed for up to ten days in November. November celebrates Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kartika Purnima, Rahas Purnima, Kannada Rajyotsava, Kut, Kanakadasa Jayanthi, Seng Kutsnem, and Wangala festival.
Only state banks will close during certain regional celebrations. The Reserve Bank of India says these holidays fall under the Negotiable Instruments Act.
November bank holidays
- 11/1: Bengaluru banks will close for Kannada Rajyotsava, and Imphal banks will close for Kut.
- 11/6: Sunday
- 11/8: Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kartika Purnima, Rahas Purnima. Aizawl, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, and Srinagar would close their banks.
- 11/11: Kanakadasa Jayanthi and Wangala festival will close Bengaluru and Shillong banks.
- 11/12: Second Saturday
- 11/13: Sunday
- 11/20: Sunday
- 11/23: Seng Kutsnem closes Shillong banks.
- 11/26: Fourth Saturday
- 11/27: Sunday
